We officially announce our membership in the D-WISE NETWORK. The network includes institutions and social enterprises from Spain, Belgium, Croatia, Bulgaria, France, Holland, Sweden, Slovenia, Finland, Romania.
The D-WISE Network is an international partnership promoted by Fundación ONCE in the framework of Disability Hub Europe and co-financed by the European Social Fund, with the aim to examine and raise awareness about the role of the social economy sector (the so-called Work Inclusion Social Enterprises, WISEs) in creating employment and facilitating the labour inclusion of persons with disabilities in Europe.
Objectives:
- To analyze how the social economy sector employing significant percentages of workers with disabilities effectively contribute to their labour and social inclusion in Europe.
- To examine the existing employment models for persons with disabilities in social economy and their alignment with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD).
- To explore policy needs and provide recommendations for decision-makers.
- To contribute to the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
